Easy And Standard Mobile Interfaces

Choose per-member Easy or Standard layout and know which routes each mode exposes.

Easy and Standard are how the mobile app looks and navigates for each staff member. They do not change your plan, permissions, or whether POS vs table service is enabled—that comes from the feature catalog and sales workflow mode.

Two waiters at the same table-service restaurant can use Easy and Standard side by side without conflict.

Easy mode (detailed)

Easy is built for speed on the floor:

Easy home hub

Shows the day's main actions in large touch targets—typically POS, billing, orders, Shift Desk, depending on permissions.

Easy POS

  • Immediate paid sales at the counter
  • Optional customer name and phone
  • Same hidden canonical Orders and Payments as web POS for reporting
  • Does not send tickets to KDS or the service Billing queue

Use Easy POS when the customer pays and leaves—no kitchen ticket path.

Other Easy routes

When enabled, staff can reach:

  • billing queue (collect payment, receipts)
  • orders queue (simpler list)
  • Shift Desk (stage-by-stage close)
  • menu (availability toggles)
  • inventory (common adjustments)
  • expenses (quick entry)

Who should use Easy

  • new staff in first weeks
  • counter-only roles
  • outlets that want minimal navigation depth
  • tablet kiosks at pickup

Standard mode (detailed)

Standard is for staff who want parity with web:

Dashboard

Full dashboard with optional widgets and Customize—same concept as web.

Operations workspace

Unified Order → Prepare → Serve → Collect with more queue visible on tablets.

Full modules

  • Orders with Action Desk–style detail
  • KDS board
  • Billing workbench
  • POS
  • Shift Desk
  • Menu, inventory, customers, reports—as permitted

Who should use Standard

  • managers who switch between web and mobile
  • experienced floor staff who need full order detail
  • kitchen leads using KDS on tablet with sidebar context

Switching modes

  1. Open account or settings on mobile
  2. Change interface preference (Easy / Standard)
  3. App reloads navigation to match

Train with screenshots for the mode each role actually uses. Do not assume everyone sees the same home screen.

What Easy does NOT do

Easy does not:

  • bypass operational shift gates
  • bypass billing or refund permissions
  • unlock plan-locked modules
  • change Solo Run vs Shared Crew behavior
  • replace web for bulk admin

See Sales workflow modes.

Capability gates (both modes)

Both modes respect:

  • role permissions
  • plan entitlements
  • feature catalog toggles
  • operational shift state
  • branch scope for multi-outlet staff

If a module is missing in Easy, it is likely missing in Standard too—fix access, not interface mode.
